Congrat's Everyone!!!

The FoF meeting has been a great success!!!

Such success is due to the collaboration of all involved, not only at organizing but also giving high quality talks, bringing their friends, attending most of the talks, etc.

It seems appropriate to summarize the meeting with some numbers. There were:
  • 8,5 hours of talks (510 minutes + surplus)
  • 30 talks: 6 external + 24 Iatistas
  • 22 talks were in English
  • Attendance: between 30 and 60 people per talk
  • 40 litres of coffee were consumed !!!

  • We want to thank specially to:

  • Our invited speakers: Juan Pablo, Norbert, Gary, Osvaldo, Dante & Gian Luigi, for being the "guinea pigs" for the first edition of the FoF meeting!
  • The Iatistas that have prepared great talks and demonstrated (again) that a little good will + some effort can produce great results
  • Everyone that attended the talks, specially the students that were present in almost all of them!!!
  • The OAC, for kind logistic support.

  • Finally, we think that the main goals of the meeting have been reached. We delivered a high scientific quality international meeting (probably the first one for some of our students). And, now, we have a clearer picture of the science that is being developed at the IATE, which helps to visualize where the Institute is heading.

Thanks and congratulations to everyone that participated!
