The MUSIC of galaxy clusters

Galaxy clusters are the largest self-gravitating objects in the Universe. They constitute one of the most powerful probes in cosmology and a unique astrophysical laboratory to test the complex interactions between ICM, galaxies and dark matter. In order to understand the detailed physics of galaxy cluster formation, numerical simulations are the indispensable tool. In this talk I will highlight the main results of the MULTIDARK SIMULATIONS OF GALAXY CLUSTERS (MUSIC: http://music.ft.uam.es), an ongoing international project aimed at generating the largest database of high resolution cluster-size objects in different cosmological scenarios.
