How and why do we have to exploit a CPU/GPU?

With a simple hands-on demo we are going to show you all the forms of parallelism with a modern CPU/GPU for the purpose of exploiting all the computing power. This demo triggers a question Why do we have to do all this? We will try to answer it by giving an overview of the HPC in Argentina and in the Southern Cone.
