Code of Conduct

The organisers are committed to making this meeting productive and enjoyable for everyone, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, nationality or religion. We will not tolerate harassment or bullying of participants in any form.
During the meeting please follow these guidelines:

  • Behave professionally. Harassment, bullying, and sexist, racist, or exclusionary comments or jokes are not appropriate. Harassment includes sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, sexual attention or innuendo, deliberate intimidation, stalking, and photography or recording of an individual without consent. It also includes offensive comments related to gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or religion.
  • All communication should be appropriate for a professional audience including people of many different backgrounds. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate.
  • Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down other attendees. Critique ideas, not people.
  • If participants wish to share photos or contents of talks/slides of any attendee or speaker on social media, we ask that they first get permission.

Participants asked to stop any inappropriate behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Attendees violating these rules will be asked to leave the event at the sole discretion of the organisers.
Any participant who wishes to report a violation of this policy is asked to speak, in confidence, to any member of the LOC.
For any other conflictive situation that is not contemplated in the present code, we will follow the Code of Conduct from IAU.

This code of conduct is based on the “London Code of Conduct”, as originally designed for the conference “Accurate Astrophysics. Correct Cosmology”, held in London in July 2015.

Registration

The meeting has no registration fee, but registration is required by filling out the registration form.
In this form you can specify if you wish to present your work as an oral or poster presentation and add the corresponding abstract.

  • September 15th 2023 registration and abstract submission open.
  • March 1st 2024 abstract submissions closes.
  • March 1st 2024 registration closes.

Scientific Contributions

The official language of the meeting will be English.
Abstracts will be selected based on the scientific program and the number of talks we can accommodate in the program.
Oral presentation can be converted to poster if the author agrees in case that the number of requested talks is larger than the oral slots available in the program.

Oral Contributions

The time allocation for invited talks is 30+10 minutes, for contributed talks the time is 15 + 5 minutes.
To avoid any problem related to the internet connection, we suggest that the speakers prepare backup presentations that do not depend on the internet.

We strongly encourage all the speakers to submit their presentations to the LOC in either PDF or Google Slides format a day in advance of the talk. If presenters require the use of their own equipment, they must inform the LOC in advance, so that we can assist with the transition between presentations.

The presentations can be tested during the break before the corresponding session.

Poster Contributions

Poster contributions should not exceed 80 cm wide x 120 cm long. We strongly recommend including a QR code linking to a PDF version of the poster. In the program’s meeting, we included two Poster Sessions where participants will have an optional opportunity to present to the audience their contribution in 1-2 minutes. We kindly request to all those who would be interested to submit their poster to the LOC in PDF format at least one day prior to the corresponding poster session.
